Today I added two more things to my list of life goals:
-Attain my pilot's license, then fly at night
-Visit Argentina, specifically Buenos Aires
Iguazu Falls, Argentina
One that was added in the past week or so:
-Become LEED accredited by graduation in 2011
I recorded the word "faaaaaart?" in one of those voice recording greeting cards the other day. Someone is going to get a nice surprise. Hehe. I'm so mature for my age.

Grenoble is far from me (I'm in Karlsruhe), but close to lots of good stuff. You should visit Nice. I hear that it's really nice (no pun intended). And Italy is so close!
Want to go to Madrid at the end of July? I'm going for a Nine Inch Nails concert and am very excited to visit Spain.
In Ottawa, Canada you can take an "introduction to flying" lesson for about $100 where you get to fly a plane over the city! You should look into doing something like this.
Obtaining a private pilot's certificate is a rewarding and worthwhile experience.
I started flying in late 90s and continued after I moved to Colorado. It's great to be able to drive up to a small airport, load in your gear for a daytrip or overnight trip - or even camping, spend a half hour checking weather, pre-flighting your plane, then take off at your leisure. The country is beautiful at 3,000 feet above ground and you appreciate the fabric of small towns and the country.
The only downside to flying yourself: You need to be VERY flexible due to weather. If some overcast skies roll in at your destination and don't clear up be prepare to wait it out. Also it's very expensive. Every other hobby I have is pennies in comparison. I haven't maintained proficiency the past few years but would be able to fly on my own again with a few hours of lessons and ground school.
But with the right instructor it's a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience... And while it's not cost effective to fly coast to coast in a small plane - in opens a lot of doors in exploring a 100-700 mile radius.
Oh - and I'm also headed back to Buenos Aires this fall. I visited B.A. and Iguazu in '05 and can't wait to return. It's a beautiful city with passionate wonderful people. Well worth the experience. And once you're there it's quite affordable due to the exchange rate...
All the best - James... and thanks for linking to my site too!
